The Getaway.

Here are some photos of our recent getaway to Kohler, Wisconsin. Husband and I went to The American Club, stayed at the Carriage House, and got a 75 minute "Two-gether" massage at the Kohler Water Spa. Both the suite and the spa were...A-mazing! Clean. Quiet. Relaxing. Romantic.

Love canopies!

Don't think I've ever slept in a bed with so many pillows.

Free Breakfast!

Need this sink at home...

...And this shower...

...And the whirlpool bath too. LOL

TV on a swivel, so you can watch from virtually anywhere in the suite.

Phone in the bathroom; which I thought absolutely hilarious!!!

The massages were the best we've had (Only actually had 1 other massage/spa experience to compare it to. LOL Not too long ago, I used to feel very uncomfortable at the thought of some "stranger" rubbing on me.) Heated tables, comfy covers, excellent therapists!

We ventured out for eats to Sheboygan, WI (about a 9 min. drive)...
Twice to this neopolitan pizza place called,  Il Ritrovo. Spectacular pizza!!! Chewy charred crust, fresh mushrooms (I don't like when places use canned 'shrooms on pizza), light tomato can taste tomatoes, and the cheese; thinly layered but just enough & perfectly melted. Sooooo yummy! You can see the wood-fired oven from the dining area, and the guys making your pizza. I want that oven!!!

Breakfast/brunch were had at Harry's Diner, which was also good enough to warrant a second visit from us. Egg Skillets & french toast. Though the place was quite busy, our food came out the kitchen very fast. This made Husband very happy.

Another thing...I notice (right away), whenever I'm in a town away from home, are the people.
The service at the American Club was very good. Whenever we needed something, it was given to us. No problems. The staff was cordial (though to me, it sometimes felt like "protocol cordial" vs "genuine cordial", if that makes any sense. Husband says he didn't notice this at all.); the other guests were even more cordial (smiling & sometimes making small talk with us). This made walking around the carriage house in our robes and slippers feel a bit more comfortable. Yes, everyone basically donned robes and slippers...because the spa was in the same building as the suites.

Overall, very very nice & very much needed!
We'd go back.
